West Wales For A Great Holiday Check Out The National Press

West Wales – A Fabulous Place To Come For Your Holiday (But Don’t Just Take Our Word For It – Check Out the National Press!)

Here at Croft Farm and Celtic Cottages we’ve been passionate about offering four and five star luxury self-catering holidays to our lovely guests for over 25 years now.

And what we’ve noticed is that West Wales has a way of ‘getting under your skin’ in a good way. Young or old, come rain or shine…this is where you can finally feel your stresses slipping away, and have the time to just be.

That’s why so many of our guests come back and stay year after year.

We encourage people to do things a bit slower here. There’s no need to rush after all, if you’re on holiday.

If you get held up by a farmer moving some sheep along the road – not to worry, wind down the window, feel the sun on your face, and enjoy the view for those few moments.

We’ve got sandy beaches, mountains with Neolithic burial chambers, towering castles, rivers and coracles, and secret green valleys with tumbling streams and mossy rocks all around us here in West Wales.

Delicious local seafoods, and artisan cooks, growers and producers to make your heart sing with the yumminess of their foodie treats.

We’ve got farmers, and fishermen, chefs, crafters, artists, and everything in-between. We’re not just a ‘tourist destination’ we’re a living vibrant coastal community with a passion for welcoming the visitors who flock here – to give them a moment in time to enjoy what we are so blessed to have on our doorstep.

But don’t just take our word for it!

Our little corner of the world has been getting some serious global recognition and appreciation lately.

Readers of the Rough Guide travel books have voted Wales as one of the best places to visit in 2014.The readers loved the physical beauty that is packed into such a small mass of land, boasting great mountain ranges, lush valleys, a ragged coastline and ancient castles.

Then following on from that Pembrokeshire was selected as one of the Top 10 destinations for British Beach holidays by The Telegraph! They said “Pembrokeshire is the undisputed darling of the west coast of Wales. Its 186-mile coastal path, a national trail, passes through beautiful countryside, from cliffs to fishing villages to the tiny cathedral city of St David’s. As well as hikers and mountain bikers, the Pembrokeshire coast attracts bathers, surfers and watersports fans. The range of beaches is astonishing”

And last but not least our local part of Cardigan Bay features in the all new Visit Wales national TV ad campaign launched on St David’s Day – with our friends A Bay To Remember based in Cardigan, and some stunning footage of their Dolphin Watching trips (always a favourite with our guests)

Here’s the ad – directed by Marc Evans, who also directed the highly acclaimed Hinterland series which recently aired.

So, whilst we’ve always known that West Wales is a fabulous place to come and create some cherished holiday memories, it’s great to see the accolades this area is getting in the National Press too.

And of course, if you’d like to enjoy the Croft Farm and Celtic Cottages hospitality do check out our cottage details and availability, and our Special Offers page on the website. There’s some wonderful family fun and relaxation time awaiting you!
