Dog-Friendly Holidays at Croft Farm & Celtic Cottages

Dog-Friendly Holidays at Croft Farm & Celtic Cottages

As dog-owners ourselves, we understand how important it is to be able to take the canine members of the family with you when you have a holiday, which is why we welcome well behaved dogs* in seven of our ten luxury self-catering cottages. (*1 large/medium dog, or 2 small dogs. Or 2 large/medium or 1 large and 2 small in Croft House and The Barn).

With fantastic beaches and walks aplenty on our doorstep, we know you won’t want to be wondering whether your dog is pining for you left behind at the boarding kennel, when he could be enjoying new adventures romping by your side instead!

Our Selection Of Dog-Friendly Cottages

Our dog-friendly cottages cater for a range of different group sizes, and there is a small charge of £5 per night per large/medium dog, or per 2 miniatures:

The Barn: sleeps 7 + 1 infant in a cot, in 3 bedrooms, with a sole-use garden hot tub.

We provide poop bags, and some dog-snacks upon your arrival, as well as delicious treats for the humans too. Muddy and sandy dogs (the sign of a walk enjoyed!) can be rinsed down in our outside sink, or with various taps with hoses we have on site, and we can also provide dog towels and blankets on request.

On site we have a path through our small farm where you can exercise your dog on a lead, and access to a secure grassy paddock where you can exercise your dog off the lead.

We are located on the edge of the world renowned Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, so there are coast and country walks to suit all abilities. You can take your dog on the Coastal Path and many of the local beaches (see below for more details about beaches.) Inland you can enjoy the ancient mossy oak woodland and Pentre Ifan Burial Chamber of Ty Canol Nature Reserve, or step back in time with the quiet lanes, river and steep wooded sides of the Gwaun Valley. For far-reaching views across Cardigan Bay you can walk the Golden Way along the spine of the Preseli hills, as well as many shorter walks in the Preselis – for example up to the summit of Carn Ingli, where you might be lucky to see our native Welsh Mountain Ponies.

Even though some of the West Wales beaches are closed to dogs during the summer season, there are still plenty of beaches which remain open to dogs.
