2021 has been a difficult year with COVID-19 still present, we had to keep up with our social distancing guidelines, but that didn’t stop us from having fun!
Reopening after the lockdown
By far the most exciting thing we have been able to do is to re-open our doors after lockdown earlier this year! So many people have been able to enjoy time away with their families and so many still are!
New things at the farm
There’s not a lot of new and exciting things going on at the moment, we still have all of our guidelines in place to keep our guests safe. However, we were able to buy a new flock of sheep this year. We bought a flock of Ouessant Sheep, the smallest naturally occurring breed of sheep in the world. They are also very friendly and our guests love them, as do we!
Continuing to keep guests safe
Unfortunately, for the first few weeks after we reopened, we were unable to open our indoor facilities but we were incredibly happy to be able to see how joyful everyone was just to be on holiday! Finally, our guests are able to run around on the beach and play games in the fields and breathe in the fresh countryside air again.
We have now opened some of our facilities to our guests whilst still maintaining all of the Covid-19 guidelines. The indoor swimming pool is now open and you can arrange a slot for the swimming pool online. The swimming pool will be exclusively yours for an hour with 15 minutes between each slot preventing crossover.
We are lucky to have been able to open a few more exciting things here at Croft Farm. The farm is open all day for you to walk around and take a look at all of the animals we have. We also offer an animal feeding experience which will need to be booked, up to two cottages can go on this experience at a time. Our big play barn and indoor areas are open but do have some restricted access areas. We have still got ride-on vehicles, playhouses, a full-sized pool table, slides, table tennis, air hockey and table football all ready to play with. There really is something for every age to play with.
Cleaning
We are still operating ventilation, deep cleaning and disinfection throughout all of our cottages. We also swap and quarantine all duvets and bed linen to ensure our guests’ safety. There is a contactless arrival with disinfected keys in the doors ready to go, all of the information you will need about your holiday is online as well. All of our staff are also fully vaccinated to ensure everyone’s safety, including our guests.
Christmas Holiday
We are still very busy with lots of people now booking Christmas holidays with us. The Christmas period is a very special and magical time and we think it’s best spent away from home. With lots of exciting things happening at Christmas time, it’s the perfect holiday! On Christmas eve we do a Father Christmas visit for all of the children to say hello to. All of our cottages are also supplied with delicious mince pies and a bottle of prosecco to welcome our guests.
