Got a bit of adventure in you?

‘went for an exhilarating boat ride with a ‘Bay to Remember’. Saw seals from Cardigan Island Farm Park and the boat trip and dolphins from Mwnt.’

The Greathead Family- Vicky 20 months and Dan almost 4. Gloucestershire

Get in it, on it, under it, or just watch it!

Water Based Activities

Sail the sea, catch the surf, hurl yourself off cliffs, spot river wildlife from a Canadian canoe, glimpse seals and dolphins out at sea, or go fishing…. the choice is yours.

Just down the road at Poppit Sands you can body board in family size waves or head for the extreme western edge of Pembrokeshire, and get in some serious surfing, windsurfing or kitesurfing.  Noting the extremes, Pembrokeshire is the birthplace of coasteering, the art of hurling yourself into coastal waters from cliff tops.

For a gentler day out take a Canadian canoe trip down the Teifi Gorge and discover the wildlife of the river banks.  Other relaxing days could include taking a boat trip from Newquay or Cardigan Bay, home to over a hundred bottle nose dolphins, or taking a trip to Skomer Island where puffins, Manx Shearwaters, Guillimots, Razorbills and Choughs make up the local inhabitants.

Land Based Activities

Again, where to start?

If you’re a young one there’s plenty to do, from losing yourself in the soft play gargantium, Teifi Mania in Cardigan, trampoline yourself dizzy in Hangar5 (a disused airport hangar full of trampolines!), get down and dirty at Llain activity centre, get the adrenaline going at Oakwood, see the Seals (and Dolphins if you’re lucky) at Cardigan Island Farm Park… and then there’s still the go-karting etc etc.

A little older than soft play areas and ball pits? We’ve got that covered too… get your Attenborough on in the local Teifi Nature Reserve, take guided historical walks at St.Dogmaels, shoot it up as 007 in paintballing at Cenarth, or if you’re a real big kid you can hone your skills at the clay pigeon shooting range (1 mile away), visit the local brewers in Cwm Gwaun, or get down with locals and their music in The Cellar Bar, and the list goes on…
